Patients sometimes feel nervous when seeing a surgeon, but Dr. McIvor's friendly demeanor puts them at ease. In addition to technical skill, he believes that good interpersonal skills are important in his partnership with patients.

Dr. McIvor is a graduate of the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. He completed his surgical residency at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. He is board certified.
