Born and raised in the Philippines, and fluent in both English and Filipino, Dr. Mondragon is a graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. She pursued her post-graduate training in internal medicine and infectious diseases at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, CT. She practiced first in the private setting, in Charleston, SC, then returned to the academic environment as an assistant professor of medicine at the UConn Health Center from where she joins us. Apart from general internal medicine, Dr. Mondragon's interests include travel medicine, adult immunization and disease prevention, and general infectious diseases. She is board certified in both internal medicine and infectious diseases."
