Dr. Portnoff earned her medical degree from Wright State University in Dayton, OH and completed her residency in internal medicine at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA.  She then did a fellowship in rheumatology at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, CA and was a practicing rheumatologist in Southern California for almost 9 years before migrating to the Pacific Northwest to work for The Portland Clinic.    Dr. Portnoff enjoys the field of rheumatology because it enables her to see and treat a broad array of disease states, foster long term patient relationships, and work with cutting edge therapeutics.  When she isn’t in the office seeing patients, you can find her singing silly bath time songs with her young son, reading cooking blogs, swimming laps, and coaxing her husband into watching reality TV shows with her.
