Leo Smith, MD
Family Medicine
Dr. Smith earned his medical degree from Oregon Health and Sciences University. He was awarded Intern of the Year during the Providence Milwaukie Family Medicine Residency Program. Prior to earning his medical degree, he worked as an Analytical Chemist, mostly in the environmental chemistry field, but also for a memory chip manufacturing facility. Dr. Smith earned his undergraduate degree at Oregon State University in Secondary Science Education. He continues to have a love for teaching, and is enthusiastic about educating patients in maintaining and improving their own health. Dr. Smith is board certified through the American Board of Family Medicine.
His favorite part about being a family doctor is the opportunity to interact, one-on-one, with patients of all ages, from babies to the elderly. In many instances, he has cared for multiple generations in the same family, which he finds especially rewarding.
In his free time, Dr. Smith loves being outdoors (bicycling, hiking, gardening, etc.), and spending time with his wife, daughter, and son.
