Michael Cunningham, PA-C

Michael holds a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Pacific University, as well as a BA in Psychobiology from Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. Michael works closely with all of our orthopedic physicians seeing patients in the office and hospital setting. In the operating room, he assists in a wide range of orthopedic cases ranging from arthroscopic rotator cuff repair to total knee and hip arthroplasty.
Working as a member of the sports medicine team, Michael provides game coverage and sees patients from Sunset High School and Lewis and Clark College. He has special interest in concussion management ever since completing his capstone research project, which studied the effects of concussion education on symptom reporting in high school football players. He is helping to implement neurocognitive testing as part of the clinic's concussion management program.
In addition to clinical duties, Michael has performed a number of presentations for local Primary Care clinicians and Pediatricians on topics such as wrist fractures, casting, and concussion management. Professional affiliations include American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery (PAOS).
Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter Carley, and son Cameron. In his free time, he enjoys home improvement projects, reading, and plays in a wood bat baseball league.
