Jaroslava (Jeri) Zoubek, MD

Urology

BIO

I attended the University of Michigan where I earned both my undergraduate degree and my medical degree.  I also completed my urology residency at the University of Michigan.  My husband and I moved to Portland in 1992 and we have found it to be a wonderful community to live, work and raise a family.

My area of interest in urology is the evaluation and medical or surgical treatment of women and men with urinary incontinence, voiding dysfunction, urinary problems associated with neurologic conditions, interstitial cystitis and other bladder disorders. I provide a comprehensive urologic evaluation including complex videourodynamic studies when needed. I also evaluate and treat other general urologic conditions.

I believe that successful treatment starts with making the correct diagnosis and then choosing a treatment plan that is best suited for each individual patient.  To that end, I find that it is most important to take the time to listen to my patients and to explain everything clearly.  My goal is to always provide excellent care and help each patient improve their health and their quality of life.

When I am not practicing urology, I love spending time with my wonderful family and friends.  I enjoy being outdoors, gardening, hiking, as well as cooking and traveling.  In addition, I have a passion for fine needlework and I am proud to have earned a Certificate in Technical Hand Embroidery from The Royal School of Needlework in England.

Dr. Zoubek was elected as a top doctor in Portland Monthly’s 2017 “Top Docs and Nurses” feature.

We recently received notice that the Solar Eclipse Glasses that our Ophthalmology department has been distributing to (eye) patients 7/25/17 - 8/11/17 have been recalled due to ISO certification uncertainty.  Even though the glasses indicate ISO 12312-2 certified, we have not received confirmation from the supplier that our order was sourced from a recommended manufacturer.  We are strongly advising that you discard and do not use the solar glasses if you picked them up from our Ophthalmology departments located at our Beaverton, Downtown and South offices and use glasses that have been supplied from a reputable vendor to ensure the utmost viewing safety.  (Note:  the Solar Eclipse glasses distributed through our pediatric department are confirmed to be ISO certified).
