Medicare Services
Annually your Medicare Advantage health plans renews it's contract and oftentimes benefits change. With so many Medicare plans available to you, The Portland Clinic wants to let you know which plans our doctors are accepting for the year 2010. We know this can be a confusing time for our patients, so we have partnered with SeniorChoices NW, a local company specializing in Medicare insurance plans. At no cost to our patients, SeniorChoices NW (at 503-682-1878) will help inform and assist our patients in selecting the plan that best fits their needs while enabling them to continue to see the doctors at The Portland Clinic.
The Portland Clinic is providing the services of SeniorChoices NW without any cost to our patients. We encourage you to attend one of the free Medicare Informational Meetings we are holding in the upcoming months. The meeting locations, dates and times are listed below on this page.
The Portland Clinic doctors are accepting the Medicare Advantage Plans below for 2010. These five plans offer full Medicare benefits plus extra benefits beyond original Medicare. The Medicare Advantage Plans we accept are:
- FamilyCare Medicare Plans
- Health Net Medicare Plans
- Providence Medicare Advantage Plans
- Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon MedAdvantage Plan
- AARP Medicare Complete Plan/HMO by SecureHorizons - This SecureHorizons Plan Only.
Our primary care providers will continue to care for current established patients of The Portland Clinic who enroll with original Medicare and we will bill all Medicare supplimental or gap plans that would be secondary to original Mediare. Our primary care providers no longer accept new patients who are enrolled solely in original Medicare.
Patients just turning 65 or patients planning to switch from original Medicare to one of the plans above may call SeniorChoices NW at 503-682-1878 or attend one of the free Medicare Informational Meetings. A sales representative will be present with information and applications.

- Downtown Office: Every Friday, November thru March (Except no meetings held on 11/27, 12/25 or 1/1/10), 10am - 12pm, in Conference Room B on the 1st floor.
- Beaverton Office: Every Thursday, November thru March (Except no meetings held on 11/26, 12/24 or 12/31) 10am - 12pm, in the Employee Lounge.
- South Office: Every Tuesday, November thru March, 10am - 12pm, in the Conference Room on the 2nd floor.
