Hearing loss is the third most common health problem for Americans, affecting almost 30 million people of all ages. The Portland Clinic offers comprehensive Audiological services.

The first step in seeking help with a hearing problem, especially for the first time, is consultation with an Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose and Throat physician) and a thorough clinical hearing evaluation by an Audiologist. Audiologists are hearing health care professionals who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing and balance disorders.

Although hearing aids are often recommended for hearing problems, another form of treatment may be necessary.

Hearing loss affects communication with loved ones, friends, and co-workers - everyone we interact with every day. Our Audiology program is designed to help you understand your unique hearing problems and how they may impact the quality of your daily life. Our goal is to provide you with the understanding and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your hearing health care, as well as the support you need to effectively manage your hearing loss.
