Radiology
Pictures don't lie. For over a century, physicians have used X-ray to peer inside the body to spot broken bones, deformities, masses and more. In the past few decades many other imaging modalities have been introduced, giving Radiologists additional tools to see exactly what's going on inside the body. With these tools, our Radiologists are able to pinpoint soft-tissue damage, cysts, growths and more.
PROCEDURES/SERVICES
The Portland Clinic offers a variety of imaging modalities including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Bone Densitometry, and Mammography along with general radiography. The following types of exams need to be scheduled through the Radiology receptionists.
- Ultrasound
- Mammography ( Screening and Diagnostic)
- Bone Densitometry (DEXA)
- CT and MRI exams
General x-rays are performed on a walk in basis.
Note: CT and MRI are scheduled through the Tigard Radiology Department at 503.293.0161 x 4023 or x 4012 as there are numerous preps and most insurance plans require pre-authorization.
