WHAT'S NEW AT THE PORTLAND CLINIC
PLEASE WELCOME OUR NEW STAFF MEMBERS
Jonathan Crist, M.D., orthopedics and sports medicine, now sees patients at our Beaverton and Tigard offices. Dr. Crist completed his family medicine residency at Oregon Health and Science University after graduating from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He completed his subspecialty fellowship training in Sports Medicine at the University of Utah.

Annie Mack, M.D., pediatrics and internal medicine, has joined our staff at The Portland Clinic - South. Board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics, Dr. Mack sees patients of all ages. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and completed her combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Massachusetts.

Stephanie Magno, MPT, physical therapy, has joined our Tigard Medical Office. Stephanie received her master's degree in physical therapy from Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. She has cared for people with a wide range of disabilities and injuries. In her work with patients, she emphasizes orthopedics, manual therapy techniques and exercise therapy.

Leo Smith, M.D., family medicine, is accepting patients at The Portland Clinic - Beaverton. Dr. Smith earned his medical degree at Oregon Health and Science University. He completed the Providence Milwaukie Family Medicine Residency Program, where he was named Intern of the Year. His undergraduate degree in Secondary Science Education is from Oregon State University.

VOLUNTEER FOR A RESEARCH STUDY
The Clinical Research Department at The Portland Clinic is seeking participants for several research studies. Our current studies involve:
- An investigational treatment for atrial fibrillation
- A blood test for early detection of colon cancer
- New approaches to preventing and treating osteoporosis in women
- A meningococcal vaccine for 2-month-old infants
- An H1N1 influenza (swine flu) vaccine for children 3 to 8 years of age
- A study of adults with overactive bladders
Qualifying participants will receive study-related exams and investigational medications at no cost, plus compensation for time and travel. For details, call 503-221-0161, ext. 2107 or 2109.
