WHAT'S NEW AT THE PORTLAND CLINIC
CONGRATULATIONS MICHELLE GROVE, OREGON'S DIABETES EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR!
The Oregon chapter of the American Association of Diabetes Educators has named Michelle Grove, ANP, CDE, the Diabetes Educator of the Year. Michelle is the founder and director of The Portland Clinic Diabetes Center for Comprehensive Care, which opened in 2006. She has dedicated her professional life to helping people with diabetes gain better control over their health. We congratulate her on this richly deserved honor.
SOUTH OFFICE OPENS PHYSICAL THERAPY CLINIC
The Portland Clinic now provides physical therapy in three locations throughout the Portland metro area. A beautiful new physical therapy clinic at The Portland Clinic - South joins our Downtown and Tigard offices in offering treatment for orthopedic and sports injuries, geriatric conditions, balance disorders and other physical conditions. Physical therapists at all three offices provide individualized treatment plans focused on reducing pain, restoring mobility, facilitating healing and returning people to their normal activities.
INTRODUCING TINA AHLBRECHT, OUR NEW PHYSICAL THERAPIST
In addition to the new physical therapy clinic, we're pleased to introduce a new physical therapist at our South Office. Tina Ahlbrecht, P.T., holds a master's degree in physical therapy from the University of the Pacific. She offers experienced care for orthopedic and sports injuries, as well as vestibular rehabilitation and balance training.

ON-CALL FOR YOU, 24/7
A child develops a fever at bedtime...Worrisome symptoms appear over the weekend...These types of concerns shouldn't wait until the next business day. That's why The Portland Clinic has physicians available on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you with after-hours medical concerns. If you need to talk to a doctor when your doctor's office is closed, call 503-221-0161 and ask for our on-call physician.

VOLUNTEER FOR A RESEARCH STUDY
The Clinical Research Department at The Portland Clinic is seeking participants for several research studies. Our current studies involve:
- An investigational treatment for atrial fibrillation
- A blood test for early detection of colon cancer
- A meningococcal vaccine for 2-month-old infants
- New approaches to preventing and treating osteoporosis in women
