News Briefs: We've Added an East Side Office!

What's new at The Portland Clinic.

Introducing The Portland Clinic - Columbia!

On May 1, Columbia Family Medical Associates, an independent, physician owned organization in practice for more than 20 years, joined The Portland Clinic as our fifth office, and our first on the east side. Newly named as The Portland Clinic - Columbia, the office is located at NE 122nd and Airport Way.

The collaboration will allow the team at Columbia to expand services to their existing patients, while also allowing The Portland Clinic to offer more convenient access to patients on Portland's east side. "The location and loyal following of Columbia Family Medical Associates, paired with multispecialty expertise and strong technical support from The Portland Clinic, makes sense for our mutual patients," says Mike Schwab, CEO for The Portland Clinic.

All four health care providers from Columbia will continue to serve patients in the new collaborative practice. We are pleased to introduce them:

 

Brian Lindeman, M.D.Brian Lindeman, M.D., family medicine, is a graduate of the Medical College of Ohio. He completed his internship at Providence Hospital and Medical Centers in Michigan, and his residency at the University of Toledo, St. Luke’s Hospital, in Ohio. A native Oregonian, he is a team physician for the Portland Winter Hawks and for the University of Portland men’s and women’s athletic teams.

Lynn West, A.N.P.Lynn West, A.N.P., family medicine, received her undergraduate degree from Oregon Health and Science University and her graduate degree from the University of Portland. Before joining Columbia Family Medical Associates in 1993, she worked in critical care, emergency, home care and hospice nursing. She specializes in general adult and adolescent practice, with an emphasis on women’s health.

Ralph Yates, D.O.Ralph Yates, D.O., family medicine and sports medicine, founded Columbia Family Medical Associates. He earned his medical degree at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. Dr. Yates has a special interest in asthma, diabetes, osteoporosis and athletic performance. He works with many competitive athletes, and has completed seven Ironman competitions himself.

Jeffrey S. Young, M.D.Jeffrey S. Young, M.D., family medicine, graduated from Oregon Heath and Science University and served his residency at the Swedish Family Medicine Program in Seattle. He is a clinical instructor at OHSU and a team physician for the University of Portland. His interests include depression and anxiety, infectious diseases, heart health and skin conditions.
