ON-CALL FOR YOU, 24/7

A child develops a fever at bedtime...Worrisome symptoms appear over the weekend...These types of concerns shouldn't wait until the next business day. That's why The Portland Clinic has physicians available on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you with after-hours medical concerns. If you need to talk to a doctor when your doctor's office is closed, call 503-221-0161 and ask for our on-call physician.

HOW LIGHT WAS THAT "Light" WALDORF SALAD?

In our last issue, we included a recipe for "Light Waldorf Salad." The recipe claimed to make eight servings, which we later realized came out to about a cup and a half of salad totaling 329 calories and nearly 20 grams of fat (mostly unsaturated)- not exactly light, especially if you're serving it as a side dish. We recommend a more reasonable serving size of half a cup, which brings the nutritional breakdown into a healthier range.
