Family Medicine - Primary Care
As a native of the West Coast, I am thrilled to be in Portland. Much of my medical training has been elsewhere, including my family medicine residency at Oklahoma State University in Tulsa. Because I’m a Californian and my spouse a Wisconsinite, we decided that Oregon would be the perfect compromise for both of us after we finished our training. We plan to make Portland our “forever” home, and we may even get a dog and learn to hike!
I am a passionate doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO), always striving to treat each person’s mind, body and spirit. To me, family medicine easily fits that model of practice since our community, family, and friends certainly have an impact on our health. Getting to know and serve families is the best part of my job.
Because we are all unique, finding our own, individual path to health can sometimes be like solving a mystery; it may take physical therapy, mental health support, medication or a combination of many services to get us there. I frequently use my training in osteopathic manipulative medicine to support my patients’ health, be it for upper respiratory infections, back pain, headaches or other issues.
I feel honored to be welcomed into your community, and I hope you’ll allow me the opportunity to serve you.
