Foot and Ankle
I am a transplant to the great Pacific Northwest from the East Coast. I grew up just outside of Philadelphia, and completed my degree in podiatric medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, graduating at the top of my class. After my husband and I moved to Portland for my surgical training at the Legacy Health/Kaiser Permanente Foundation Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency Program, the Northwest way of life quickly won us over, and we have made this our permanent home.
I enjoy the humor that life can bring, and I try to integrate that into each patient visit to create a welcoming atmosphere. Illness and injury can present significant challenges; my goal is to bring health and healing to my patients through my understanding of foot and ankle pathology and my persistence in pursuing successful outcomes.
In my practice, I see each patient as an individual with specific goals, needs and interests. From the child with flat feet to the marathon runner with plantar fasciitis to the older adult with a bunion, I create individualized care plans that implement both my surgical and non-surgical skills to achieve the best results for each person. Ultimately, the most essential component of my practice is the trusting relationships I build with my patients along the way to their recovery.
My husband and I enjoy exploring the Northwest with our two yellow Labradors, Lela and Gus. I also take pleasure in reading, running, experimenting with new recipes, spending evenings with friends, and trying the many outstanding restaurants and wineries this great city has to offer.
