Physical therapy is a partnership between the therapist and patient — we both have to put in some effort for therapy to work. I enjoy helping people recover from injuries and return to a full life. In addition, my goal is to provide education and training that helps patients feel empowered to care for themselves and stay healthy once they leave the clinic.
An athlete throughout my youth, I was always interested in science, medicine and athletics. I started college focused on athletic training, but soon discovered that I preferred the clinic over being on the field. I earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science at Oregon State University and a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Washington.
I specialize in vestibular rehabilitation, which focuses on improving balance and dizziness issues, and have a special interest in post-concussion rehab. I’m also certified in Astym® therapy for soft tissue injuries and scar tissue.
I’m married with three sons and the sweetest chocolate lab, Truman. Yoga is my favorite way to relax. I also enjoy reading and outdoor activities with my family.
