I enjoy the field of rheumatology because it affords me the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients and to utilize cutting-edge therapeutics to manage a variety of conditions, including but not limited to inflammatory joint disease, lupus and vasculitis.
I earned my medical degree from Wright State
University in Dayton, Ohio, and completed my residency in internal medicine at
Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, Calif. I then completed a
fellowship in rheumatology at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, Calif. I practiced
rheumatology in Southern California for almost nine years before migrating to
the Pacific Northwest to join The Portland Clinic in 2011.
During my time off, I am honing my cooking
skills, swimming on a Masters team and traveling the world with my family.
