Pediatrics - Primary Care
I grew up and went to school in Oklahoma, completing my medical degree at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and my pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma. Shortly after finishing my residency in 1989, I moved to the Pacific Northwest and joined The Portland Clinic, where I added pediatric care to our multispecialty group.
I enjoy the diversity of general pediatrics and helping kids maintain good health as they move through the stages to adulthood. From funny moms and involved dads, to kids who interpret the world in such colorful ways, it has been my pleasure to watch families grow and change. I view my work as a way to guide families to helpful, healthful decisions to lead their best lives. I follow the immunization schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and believe it is safe for all children.
When I started my own family, I transitioned to a job-share with Dr. Kathleen Palm, which is very satisfying. My life outside of the office is full, with family time, stories of all kinds, music of all kinds, walking and gardening. Libraries, literary arts, concert halls, stormy nights, peonies and stories with a twist all capture my imagination and fancy.
Dr. Horrall has been named a Top Doctor by Portland Monthly magazine multiple times.
