I grew up in Corvallis, Oregon and earned my undergraduate degree in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon. My interest in healthcare began when I learned about the physician assistant profession in high school. I was drawn to its focus on direct patient care and the team-based approach to practicing medicine. After completing my physician assistant training at Midwestern University in the Chicago area, I returned to the Pacific Northwest to start my career in family practice in 2015.
I enjoy working with physicians to extend primary care services to my community. I strive to form collaborative relationships with my patients in order to help them achieve their health and wellness goals. I believe in providing comprehensive patient education with a focus on preventative medicine. In family practice I treat patients of all ages with a wide range of medical conditions. Being able to provide care to patients at different stages of their lives is what drew me to primary care. Developing relationships with patients and helping them reach a higher level of well-being are what I enjoy most about being a physician assistant.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and staying active. I especially enjoy hiking in the gorge, running the waterfront trails, and playing tennis when the sun makes an appearance. I am always on the hunt for new places to grab a good cup of coffee in Portland. I am also an avid Oregon Duck football fan despite my Corvallis roots.
Please Note: As a Physician Assistant, Molly will work closely with Dr. Laura Bitts in the management of her patient population, as well as see same-day/overflow patients for the other South Clinic physicians. Patients cannot choose Molly as their Primary Care Provider.
