Family Medicine - Primary Care
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, I attended Northeastern University in Boston and earned my medical degree at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City. After finishing medical school, I started my journey out west. I completed my family medicine residency at Swedish Hospital in Chicago. Although my husband and I always considered ourselves east coasters, after discovering Portland — a place with more trees than people, plenty of good food and culture — we had to make the switch.
As a family medicine physician, I treat a variety of conditions and patients. I can treat a patient’s diabetes at today’s visit and their child’s acne at the next. I believe in the medical adage that ‘A careful history will lead to the diagnosis 80% of the time,’ which means I try to let my patients do the talking while I do the listening. I chose family medicine because I enjoy developing relationships with my patients and I value the privilege of seeing them through various stages in their life.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy everything from hiking and camping with my husband, to puzzling at my kitchen table in the company of my cats. I also love interior design (my house is covered in books on the topic) and home renovation projects.
