Family Medicine - Primary Care
Not accepting new patients at this time.
My many years of experience have taught me that there is rarely a single solution or treatment plan for a given medical problem. My goal is to get to know my patients, work closely with them, offer options, and then determine the best course of action to meet their unique and specific needs. As a family physician, I treat a wide variety of conditions — everything from colds and flu to diabetes and heart problems. I also take very seriously my responsibility to know when to refer a patient to a specialist for more in-depth evaluation.
I have called Oregon home for most of my life. I graduated from Willamette University before heading to Guadalajara, Mexico, to attend medical school. I completed my clinical clerkship at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City and my internship and residency at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa. After finishing my training, I knew I wanted to settle somewhere with close access to the beach and the mountains, yet near a lovely metropolitan area. Portland, for me, is the perfect place to live and work. I joined The Portland Clinic in 2012 after 28 years as a solo practitioner in Hillsboro.
Outside the office, I enjoy time with my family and traveling. In recent years, photography has become a favorite hobby, and one that consumes more and more of my free time.
