I earned my degree in podiatric medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. I was a member and eventually president of the Honorary Anatomical Society while in school and graduated at the top of my class. I then completed my surgical training at the Legacy Health/Kaiser Permanente Foundation Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency Program in Portland, OR. I am a transplant to the great Pacific Northwest from the east coast. I grew up just outside Philadelphia, PA and completed my undergraduate education at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. The Northwest way of life quickly won me over after moving here with my husband for my residency and we have made Portland our permanent home.
I am someone who enjoys the humor that life can bring and I try to integrate that into each patient visit creating a welcoming atmosphere. Illness and injury can present significant challenges and my goal is to bring my understanding of foot and ankle pathology, my persistence in pursuing successful outcomes, along with my personal, lively approach to bring health and healing to my patients. In my practice, I see each patient as a true individual with specific goals, needs, and interests requiring a unique approach. From the pediatric flatfoot to the marathon runner with plantar fasciitis to the geriatric bunion, I implement both my surgical and non-surgical skills to create a plan with the patient for his or her best result. Ultimately, the trustworthy relationships I create with patients along the way to their recovery is the essential component of my practice philosophy.
My husband and I greatly enjoy exploring the great Northwest with our two yellow Labradors, Lela and Gus. In addition to that, I have recently become a novice runner as I am truly adopting the ways of the west. I also take pleasure in reading, experimenting with new recipes, spending evenings with friends, and trying the many outstanding restaurants and wineries this great city has to offer.
