Urology
I chose the field of urology as much as it chose me. I appreciate being able to work in a surgically based specialty that can markedly improve people’s quality of life.
My goal is to provide the best care possible. Toward that end, I emphasize collaboration, individualized treatment plans and clear communication. I hope that my knowledge, experience and skills are an asset to each patient as we work together to understand and manage their urologic issues.
Kidney stones, benign prostatic disease, urologic cancers and no-scalpel vasectomies are some of my special interests. I am skilled and experienced in minimally invasive surgeries involving robotic, endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques. I also perform HoLEP, which uses a laser to treat enlarged prostates.
Originally from New Mexico, I attended New Mexico State University and completed my medical and residency training at the University of New Mexico Health Science Center. After finishing my education,
I discovered the Pacific Northwest and have called it home ever since.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children. Working out, gardening, camping, baking sourdough bread (pizza is my specialty) and trying to keep my ’77 Landcruiser running all help to keep me recharged.
