Ahson Saeed, MD

Bio

I give credit to the small town of Corvallis, Ore., for a large part of who I am today. I spent the majority of my childhood there and stayed to complete my undergraduate degree. I moved to Portland when I started my medical education at Oregon Health & Science University, and my family and I fell in love with the city. 

Medicine has been my calling for several reasons — the interpersonal relationships, the science and the opportunity to provide medical guidance. My residency focused on family medicine, which provided broad medical training to care for all individuals.  

At its foundation, I believe that medical care begins with an understanding of how an illness affects a patient’s day-to-day life. With this understanding, I hope to provide education, perspective, treatment options and open communication that leads to a well-informed and agreeable medical plan. Ultimately, my goal is to allow patients the opportunity to heal. I take great satisfaction in seeing patients transition from illness to wellness, and I feel blessed to play a role in that process. 

Outside of work, my family comes first. We love nature and its healing properties. Some of our favorite activities include hiking, camping and visiting state and national parks.  My personal interests include playing and watching basketball (go Blazers), cycling and enjoying the calming focus of woodworking and carpentry.
