Bio

My own positive experiences with physical therapy for dance-related injuries made me realize that this was the career for me. After earning a bachelor’s degree at the University of Portland, I completed a master’s degree in physical therapy at University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. I joined The Portland Clinic’s physical therapy department in 2009, and it feels like family.

In my work, I enjoy helping people of all ages regain their natural movement and return to a healthy level of function. I offer experienced help with general orthopedic issues, sports injuries, balance training and dizziness related to inner-ear issues. I’m also certified in Astym, a technique for breaking up scar tissue to improve range of motion. My goal is to provide all of my patients with tools to help them continue their wellness far beyond the P.T. department.

It was college that brought me from Hawaii, where I grew up, to Oregon, and it was Oregon’s beauty and outdoor recreation that made me stay. Although my three kids keep me pretty busy, I still try to find time to get outside and run, walk and hike. As the kids get older, I hope to return to my lifelong love of dancing.
