Foot and Ankle
I am board-certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by The American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. I am a northwest native originally from Boise, Idaho. I studied podiatric medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, IL where I graduated with honors. I completed my podiatric surgical training at the Legacy Health and Kaiser Permanente Podiatric Surgical Residency in Portland, OR. I have been at home here ever since.
My fascination with human movement began in college, while studying exercise physiology at Brigham Young University. Through my education and life’s experiences, I have developed a reverence for the human body and the amazing ways it functions, adapts to its surroundings, and heals itself after injury. As a foot and ankle surgeon, I find satisfaction in developing both surgical and non-surgical solutions to help the human body move more efficiently and comfortably. Whether it is a mild overuse injury, a complex deformity, or a traumatic fracture-dislocation, my goal is to restore normal, pain-free motion by tapping into the body’s ability to adapt and heal. Sometimes this means simple stretching exercises, other times it means reconstructive surgery with a multi-specialty team-approach.
I find balance in life by spending time with my wife and daughters. You may find me out for an early morning jog, enjoying the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest with my family, or at a softball game or swim meet cheering for my kids.
