Bio

When I was a newborn, I was a patient of The Portland Clinic. To be practicing with the clinic today as a physician assistant, providing compassionate care for others, is a full-circle moment that fulfills a lifelong dream.

It’s the relationships I’m able to build with patients that make me feel privileged to do this job. I enjoy collaborating with my patients to develop care plans that are tailored to them as individuals. My goal is to provide empathetic, evidence-based care that centers on the patient.

I worked in urgent care for several years before returning to primary care, which is my original focus and one that I truly love. Along with my family medicine experience, I bring all of the procedural skills from my urgent-care days — from stitches to skin biopsies to pelvic exams — to provide direct and convenient care for my patients.

Born and raised in Portland, I attended George Fox University before earning a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of California, Davis. I also hold a doctorate in medical science from the University of Lynchburg in Virginia. Spending time with my husband, friends and family and having great conversations are top priorities for me. Other favorite pastimes include cooking, baking, sports and birding. I also speak Farsi.

Please note: As a physician associate, Kimia sees same-day/overflow patients for other Beaverton Clinic physicians. Patients can’t choose Kimia as their primary care provider.
