As a family medicine practitioner, I care for patients at every stage of life — from newborns to seniors — and support everything from routine checkups to managing complex chronic diseases. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is building long-term relationships with my patients and their families. Watching children grow and helping families navigate health challenges over time creates a strong sense of community and purpose.

The foundation of my practice is teamwork. I encourage my patients to take an active role in their health, because care works best when we’re working together toward shared goals. Respect and professionalism guide every interaction with my patients, alongside a commitment to creating a space where they feel heard and valued. Nurturing an atmosphere of trust and openness helps patients feel more confident in making lifestyle changes and managing chronic conditions.

I earned my medical degree in Quito, Ecuador, and completed my residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. In my third year, I was honored to serve as the academic chief resident, a role that deepened my commitment to education and leadership in medicine.

In 2014, I moved to the Portland area where I embraced the opportunity to provide care to this vibrant community. Living and working here has enriched my practice and personal life. Being part of this community means more than providing medical care; it means participating in local events, supporting public health initiatives and building relationships that extend beyond the clinic walls. This connection strengthens my commitment to serve and grow alongside my patients.

To find balance in my life, I focus on activities that recharge me physically and mentally. I enjoy hiking in the beautiful Portland area to connect with nature, baking as a creative and relaxing outlet, dancing and exercising to stay active and reduce stress, spending quality time with family, friends and my pug, Bobby, and traveling to new places to gain fresh perspectives.
