Ronald Vallejo, MD

Bio

I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. Coming from a family of physicians, I developed an early appreciation for the profession, which ultimately shaped my path toward medicine. I attended medical school and completed my internship there.

In 1991, I moved to the United States, where I completed a Seton Hall University residency in internal medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in New Jersey, and a fellowship in general internal medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York.

After completing my medical training in 1997, I practiced emergency medicine in Missouri for seven years before joining The Portland Clinic in 2008 as an urgent care physician. In my current role, I see patients for same-day appointments, coordinating with their primary care physicians and providers and helping manage chronic conditions.

Outside work, I enjoy international travel with my family. My other interests include music, electric guitar, anything aviation-related and gastronomic explorations.
