Ophthalmology & Eye Services
I was born and raised in Portland and am proud to call it my hometown. I received my Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University and went on to attain residency training in Family Practice Optometry from Northeastern State University.
At a very young age, I was not seeing well and had to wear eyeglasses. I made frequent trips to my eye doctor. From this experience, I developed a keen interest in learning about the human eye and how vision works. This interest continued into adulthood which led me to pursue a career in Optometry.
I practice comprehensive Optometry. I examine and treat disorders of the eye and visual system. I enjoy seeing patients of all ages and enjoy learning about them and their families. I provide visual exams for glasses and contacts and in addition, diagnose and treat ocular pathologies, which includes eye infections (red eyes), dry eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinal evaluations, co-management of cataracts and LASIK. My philosophy on patient care is to listen attentively to patients to recommend the best treatment options for their individual needs and concerns.
Outside of work, I like to stay active by going to the gym, taking walks or bike riding around the neighborhood, and hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I enjoy the company of friends and family, whether it is just hanging out or trying a new restaurant. You can also find me working on improvement projects around the home.
