Bio

I was born and raised in the Midwest and traveled a lot with my family, but after a trip to the Pacific Northwest, I was hooked. I knew I wanted to settle in a place surrounded by mountains, close to the ocean and brimming with natural beauty. After graduating from Purdue University in Indiana, I came to Oregon for physical therapy school at Pacific University. Thirty years later, Oregon is still my home and the place I most want to be.

I was drawn to physical therapy because it allows me to have a positive impact on people and to make a difference in reducing their pain, increasing their function and improving their quality of life. I practiced in an outpatient orthopedic setting for more than 25 years before joining The Portland Clinic. Seeing patients return to activities they love is by far the most rewarding part of my job. I strive to listen to what patients need and to tailor my care to help them get where they want to be.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my adult kids embark on their own life paths, and traveling new paths myself. I’ve been to all 50 states now, and I still enjoy exploring new places, returning to places that I love, and photographing our adventures along the way.
