Pictures don’t lie. For over a century, physicians have used X-ray to peer inside the body to spot broken bones, deformities, masses and more. In the past few decades many other imaging modalities have been introduced, giving Radiologists additional tools to see exactly what’s going on inside the body. With these tools, our Radiologists are able to pinpoint fractures, soft-tissue damage, cysts, growths and more. We are a fully digital department with imaging services at four locations.  We offer a variety of imaging modalities including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Bone Densitometry, and Mammography, including 3D Mammography, along with general radiography.

The Portland Clinic Imaging team is comprised of over 45 caring and dedicated members including two Radiologists, numerous technologists, receptionists, clerical and administrative staff. The Portland Clinic has been awarded an American College of Radiology gold seal of Accreditation in Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed. The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report they can use for continuous practice improvement.
