Introducing Dr. Ann Marie Paulsen, chief medical officer

Ann Marie Paulsen, MD

The Portland Clinic is excited to announce Ann Marie Paulsen, M.D., as its new chief medical officer. Dr. Paulsen will succeed Amy Mulcaster, D.O., CEO, in this position effective September 11.

As the chief medical officer, she will partner with the clinic’s other chief executives to strategically lead our multispecialty medical group towards new and exciting endeavors, in addition to continuing her medical practice.

Dr. Paulsen has been an internal medicine physician with The Portland Clinic for 13 years, and a partner-owner for nearly 10 years, practicing at both our Beaverton and South clinic locations. “I look forward to working with our teams to promote the wellness of our clinic and the health of our patients. Health care is facing many challenges; I am committed to listening, learning, and advocating for our patients and our organization,” said Dr. Paulsen.

Dr. Paulsen will serve 2.5 days a week as our chief medical officer and 2.5 days in the clinic caring for her internal medicine patients.

“This is a very exciting time for The Portland Clinic. Dr. Paulsen brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of physician leadership and dedication to patient care.
