Changes on the East Side

FAQ's regarding our upcoming expansion

What is happening on the east side?

We are very excited to announce that The Portland Clinic has signed a long-term lease for a new healthcare center on the east side of the Rose City to improve access for patients and to expand the specialties offered in the area.

The 24,000-square-foot space on NE 50th and Sandy will house all of the clinic’s staff from the current smaller locations at NE 20th and Sandy and NE 122nd and Airport Way. The new office will provide the major medical services currently offered by The Portland Clinic on the east side of Portland, including behavioral health, cardiology, dermatology, diabetes services, family medicine, foot and ankle/podiatry, gastroenterology, internal medicine, manual medicine, neurology, physical therapy, primary care and radiology.

The building that will house The Portland Clinic’s new healthcare center will be developed by well-known, locally-owned Venerable Properties. The Portland development company has a history of renovating local landmarks such as Washington High School, the White Stag Building and the Telegraph Building. When The Portland Clinic moves into the space in the spring of 2018, it will expand its footprint on the east side by 6,000 square feet, opening the opportunity to add additional services in the coming years.

I am currently a patient at one of the east side locations. What does this mean for my healthcare?

Right now, nothing will change regarding your care. You will continue to see your doctor at their current office. In the spring of 2018, all of our doctors, nurses and staff at our two east side locations will come together to work at our new location at NE 50th and Sandy. This new location is conveniently located directly between our two existing offices, features ample parking and offers easy access to public transit routes, making it even easier for you to visit your doctor’s office. In the meantime, our staff will work closely with you to ensure you have a seamless transition to the new office so you experience no interruption to your ongoing care.

I’m a patient with The Portland Clinic and have more questions, what should I do?

We want to ensure our patients enjoy a seamless transition to this new space. If you have any questions about scheduling appointments, working with your doctor or any other matters regarding the move, please contact us directly at 503-233-6940.
