I believe that primary care is essential to preventing disease and maintaining wellness. Regular check-ups, preventive measures and close follow-up can help catch and address potential issues early.

I also understand the importance of being available to my patients when they need me most. I strive to see patients with urgent needs on the same day.

In addition to general internal medicine, I have a special interest in obesity medicine. I recognize that many factors may contribute to obesity, and I’m committed to working with my patients as an equal partner to develop personalized treatment plans.

Growing up in Indonesia and in Singapore, I was exposed to different cultures. My interest in learning another language led me to pursue my medical education in Germany, at RWTH Aachen University. After completing my internal medicine residency and practicing in Massachusetts, I decided to move to Oregon. One reason behind this decision was a memorable visit to Mount Hood, which left me in awe of the state’s natural beauty and outdoor opportunities. Another benefit was the opportunity to join the Portland Clinic, where I’m able to use my medical training to provide high-quality care to patients.

In my free time, I enjoy weightlifting and making time for my two daughters. Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail is a bucket-list item for me, and I’m working toward making it a reality.
