Free class on senior housing, care and support

Open to The Portland Clinic patients and their caregivers

The Portland Clinic is teaming up with 1st CHOICE Advisory Services to provide a free class covering the wide variety of options for senior housing, care, and support services in the Portland area. Join us to learn strategies for helping seniors maintain their independence while also opening doors to varying levels of customized assistance, budgeting help, explanations of Medicare, assistance with relieving caregiver stress and more. As an added bonus, free refreshments and the opportunity to enter a raffle is included for all attendees.

 

Who is 1st CHOICE Advisory Services?

1st CHOICE Advisory is a free service that helps older adults and their families discover locally available senior housing and care options. By working with an advisor, you can receive tailored services with options that match your needs, interests, and situation as closely and as appropriately as possible.

 

When should patients and caregivers contact 1st CHOICE Advisory Services?

  • When a residence is no longer practical or safe
  • When health suffers from poor nutrition or missed medications
  • When social isolation leads to boredom and depression
  • When family and friends are voicing concern
