The Portland Clinic will welcome Patrick Menzies as the new chief executive officer of the multispecialty clinic in mid-July. Menzies will replace Dick Clark who has served as CEO for seven years and is retiring June 23.
“Patrick brings a breadth of experience, leadership and knowledge to the clinic that will be a great asset to our patients, providers and staff as we navigate the current health care environment and look to the future,” said Janson Holm, DPM, foot and ankle surgeon and executive board chair at The Portland Clinic. “After a comprehensive interview process with our leadership teams and our executive board, we are excited to announce that we have selected Patrick to lead us into the next era of the clinic’s service to the people of Portland.”
Menzies’ background includes 22 years in health care IT, strategy and executive roles. In addition, he has been a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives since 2012 and is a retired naval intelligence officer with the U.S. Navy. Prior to being selected as the clinic’s CEO, Menzies served as the CEO at Boulder Medical Center, an independent medical group in Boulder, Colo. His previous experience also includes more than two years as chief operating officer at Jefferson City Medical Group in Missouri, and six years as vice president of business development at Centura Health in Denver and Colorado Springs.
